Get Involved
On Friday, March 26 and Saturday, March 27 your help and input is needed in the creation of a new vision for downtown. Everyone, young and old, is encouraged to help set the direction for downtown’s future at a community workshop on revitalizing downtown Silver City!
This Downtown Action Plan workshop begins with an overview and discussion of existing conditions at 6 p.m. on Friday, the 26th at Sixth Street Elementary School.
Continuing on Saturday morning at 9 a.m., you will gather at the Silco Theater to brainstorm your ideas for renovating downtown. A 7 p.m. presentation by the planning team will feature “The Best Ideas for Silver City Downtown,” a synthesis of some of the common ideas and priorities generated by you during the workshop.
Food and music will make this a great event for the whole family! A special treat for workshop participants is a tour of the ground floor renovations of the Murray Hotel.
